One of the items on my list for a greener life is to try to eat more organically and as hard as that is normally it’s even more difficult with a four year old going into the candy orgy that is Halloween. Now I’m not going to deny my son the joy of gathering his booty from the neighborhood but I have found a few candies that will help during the rest of the year.

My son is a nut for suckers I can pretty much get him to be an angel for an extended period of time just by offering him a sucker at the end of the day. So when I found YummyEarth Organic Lollipops I was super excited. These lollipops taste wonderful, are the perfect size for preschoolers, and are made with all natural ingredients. They were also invented by two dads that wanted something better for their kids. Nothing artificial here just all natural ingredients and wonderful flavor. They also offer hard candy drops and gummy bears. You can check them out here.

So what can I do: (This is a new part of my posts where I’m going to highlight different little green steps that you can make.)

You can give out YummyEarth lollipops this Halloween verses traditional candy. Amazon is running a special 150 suckers for only $16.15.

If your like me you can’t resist the call of the chocolate treats of our youth but there is even organic chocolate that taste great for the more adult taste buds. The flavor combinations may not be what you remember the taste is smooth and indulgent. Another bonus is that 10% of the proceeds go to help endangered animals. Who can resist chocolate with a purpose. You can check them out here. If you needing a fix now you can just go to your local Walgreens that also carry the full line of bars.
